Architects and developers have built a dream house in suburban Chicago that will change lives for decades to come.
The building is a blend of a hotel, office and apartment building, and will be used as an example of urban design.
“A lot of what we’re doing is looking at how do we combine modern technology with an ancient heritage,” says architect Daniel Fisk.
“It’s kind of an old school style of architecture.”
This design by architect Daniel B. Fisk and developer Daniel Bancroft is based on the hotel they’re building in suburban Cook County, Illinois.
They envision a place where guests will walk the streets, enjoying the natural beauty of Chicago and the city’s history.
It will also serve as an ideal location for families with young children, as well as for seniors and families with small children.
A new house is also planned for the same area, though it will be much smaller, as the designers wanted to avoid the pitfalls of large residential buildings in a densely populated area.
Fisskett says the hotel will serve as a kind of model for future urban homes.
“We’re looking at something that is more of a microcosm of the city and how to combine modern architecture with an old-world heritage,” he says.
The project’s name is The Drowsy Lady, but Fisk says it will probably stay as Drowse.
It’s a nod to the building’s history, as a 19th century English cottage that was converted into a hotel.
“That’s the beauty of the hotel is that it’s a building that’s been around for a long time, but it’s so small,” he explains.
“You get a glimpse of the history of that particular building and you’re like, ‘This is the best way to do it.'”
The hotel will also be a symbol of modernity and the future.
The architects hope to inspire a new generation of architects, architects, designers and builders by using their design to help people feel at home in their homes and communities.
